This is a remarkable publication which has been a year in writing and a labour of love. It’s a publication that contains personal and academic articles. Also, photographs, interviews and debates written by myself, friends of my fathers, academics, artists and eccentrics.
It includes my own understanding of Robert’s art ideas and life. This comes from a lifetime of being close to him from day to day and observing the creation of the paintings and projects.
It is also a personal account of the unusual activities of Robert’s life such as the “pretending to die” incident, or the story of Diogenes. A “Momento Mori” described by Robert as “a reminder of the inevitability of death and the value of life”.
There are many adventures to be told, but all fascinating, intriguing and inspiring.
